Job Description

Ohio University Event Services is seeking a motivated graduate student to support Event Services with student employee development. Event Services is responsible for managing Baker University Center, Margaret M. Walter Hall Rotunda, Templeton Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium, Galbreath Chapel, and provides support for events across campus. The successful candidate must committed to working and supporting students and staff from a diverse background. Event Services supports the Division of Student Affairs expectation of ongoing inclusion and social justice training and behavior modeling.

This position will perform administrative functions including but not limited to the following:

¬ Student employee hiring and onboarding
¬ Provide training on Event Services facilities and shared scheduling software
¬ Coordination of area specific trainings
¬ Assist with employee recognition and discipline process
¬ Coordinate student/supervisor meetings on academic success
¬ Manage Student Employee Advisory Board
¬ Assist with the Baker Center Advisory Board
¬ Manage student employee off-boarding and employment records
¬ Assist Event Services with Large scale university events such as Commencement
¬ Must be able to demonstrate effective communication skills
¬ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are required
