Job Description

The Graduate Assistant will assist in overall leadership of community engagement programs within the Campus Involvement Center. One position will have oversight for off campus living and the other will have oversight for community service. Specific responsibilities include:
¬ Supervision of eight community ambassadors (CA), hold regular one-on-one meetings and provide performance evaluation and feedback to CAs to aid in their professional development.
¬ Assist in the planning and implementation of all CE programs related initiatives and outreach. Examples include; annual community service volunteer fair, implementation of new off campus Green Grade website, off campus housing fair, on campus farmers market, all outreach to off campus students.
¬ Provide oversight for CA staff committees and task forces and assist in advising the Community Service Leadership Council.
¬ Assist in the assessment and evaluation of community engagement programs and services.
¬ Participate in staff orientation for both the Campus Involvement Center (CIC) and CA staff during the week prior to the beginning of Fall Semester.
¬ Participate in facilitating CIC fall activities and other major events sponsored by the CIC throughout the year.
¬ Attend bi-weekly CIC professional staff meeting, weekly staff meetings and a weekly supervision meeting with the Assistant Director.
¬ Some evening and weekend work required.
¬ Fulfill other duties as assigned
