Job Description

Fall Semester
¬ Recruitment of the new cohort of Margaret Boyd Scholars
¬ Schedule and conduct information sessions for first-year women in conjunction with current Margaret Boyd Scholars
¬ Market the program through social media
¬ Direct outreach to special interest groups (first year women athletes, women in the STEM field, LINKS students, etc.)
¬ Help facilitate the application process, interviews and selection of new Margaret Boyd Scholars
¬ Provide support to the MBSP faculty through their senior year seminar
¬ Schedule faculty advisory board meetings
¬ Program events for current Margaret Boyd Scholars
¬ Plan events for the existing cohorts of the MBSP
¬ Plan retreat for new cohort (occurs in January of each year)
¬ Collaborate with Ohio University departments to provide career and leadership development opportunities (CLDC, Women’s Center, etc.)

Spring Semester
¬ Program events for current Margaret Boyd Scholars
¬ Plan events that create a sense of community for each cohort, and in-between cohorts
¬ Provide support to the MBSP faculty through their first-year seminar
¬ Plan annual senior farewell event
¬ Arrange summer opportunities for Margaret Boyd Scholars such as LeaderShape, Interfaith Leadership Institute, Teton Science School etc.
¬ Plan community service opportunities for the MBSP
¬ Alternative Spring Break program (in collaboration with faculty advisory board)
¬ Plan MBSP family weekend events

Minimum Qualifications

Current graduate student in good academic standing

The successful candidate will have experience in mentoring and advising undergraduate women and program planning and implementation.
