Job Description

Ohio University – Chillicothe (OU-C) invites applications for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor position in Social Work.

The candidate who fills this position is expected to teach undergraduate social work courses in support of the university social work degree programs on the campus and possibly other campus sites within the Ohio University system. The candidate would also be expected to develop an independent research program.

Ancillary duties include the ability to recruit , advise and mentor students, participate in related student associations, and fulfill service requirements consistent with the expectations of the university, campus and community. A terminal degree in Social Work and direct practice experience is required.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must have a terminal degree in Social Work by the start date of the appointment (8/16/2018), and have at least two years of direct practice experience in the social work discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference given to those candidates with:
• An excellent record of effective teaching and instruction;
• A strong and demonstrated commitment to teaching and outreach;
• Experience in distance learning.
• Research Experience in the Social Work discipline
