Diabetes Fellow – Ohio Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine – Athens, OH
The Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking a physician for a clinical fellowship in Diabetes Management. The candidate must have completed residency training in Internal or Family Medicine and have a special interest in diabetes including clinical practice, teaching, and research. The candidate will gain expertise in the treatment of adults and children with diabetes and its related conditions. This is a one (1) year non-renewable fellowship experience to begin on July 1, 2018 and end on June 30, 2019.

Job Description

The Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking a physician for a clinical fellowship in Diabetes Management. The candidate must have completed residency training in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine and have a special interest in diabetes including clinical practice, teaching and research in diabetes. The candidate will gain expertise in the treatment of adults and children with diabetes and its related conditions.

Responsibilities:
-Provide outpatient care at the Diabetes Endocrine Care Center under the supervision of Clinical Faculty
-Provide inpatient consultation services at OhioHealth O’Bleness Hospital, Athens, Ohio
-Teach and participate in the training of medical students, residents, as assigned by the medical school
-Participate in academic and administrative functions as assigned by the Department Chair or Section Head
-Participate in scholarly research and teaching
We seek a candidate with a commitment in working effectively with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds.

This is a one (1) year non-renewable fellowship experience to begin on July 1, 2018 and end on June 30, 2019.

Minimum Qualifications

Fellow must:
-Be a graduate of an AOA/ACGME approved residency in Internal or Family Medicine
-Be Board Certified or eligible in their primary specialty
-Have DEA Licensure and have, or be eligible for, licensure in the State of Ohio
