Alexander Elementary in Albany, Ohio
Alexander Jr. High/High School in Albany, Ohio
Federal Hocking Secondary School in Stewart, Ohio
Millcreek Elementary in Corning, Ohio
Miller High School in Corning, Ohio
The Plains Elementary in The Plains, Ohio
Tri-County Career Center in Nelsonville, Ohio
Trimble Elementary/Middle School in Jacksonville, Ohio

Job Description

Come have fun and work with some amazing kids! Afterschool Team Leaders perform a variety of program activities including:

1. Help deliver engaging, hands-on enrichment activities to enhance and expand children’s knowledge and experience.
2. Assist with homework aspects of the program.
3. Assist with math and reading intervention aspects of the program.
4. Monitor children’s progress accomplishment under the direction of supervisor.
5. Provide oversight of children transitioning between activities.

Transportation will be necessary for most positions.

Work hours vary by location, but are usually 2.5 to 3 hour shifts between the hours of 2 pm and 6 pm, Monday through Friday.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be currently enrolled at Ohio University or other university student.

Must be available to work at least two afternoons per week (e.g. Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday).

Cover letter must indicate which sites candidates would like to be considered for positions.

Successful applicants will also be required to pass both state and federal background checks, to be completed at the applicant’s own expense. Estimated cost to applicant is $60.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with children.
