Job Description

Up to 2 positions

The post-doc will be responsible for generating data and reports as assigned by the supervisor. This will involve being responsible for handling any issues associate with subject recruitment and study coordination, data collections and monitoring, and manuscript composition.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
1. Supervise all research from running experiments to analyzing data.
2. Collaborate in the writing of external grant proposals and manuscripts for publication.
3. Train graduate students in the use of research equipment; coordinate undergraduate research assistants; maintain compliance with the Ohio University Institutional Review Board; participate in laboratory meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

Successful candidates must possess a recent doctoral degree in kinesiology/exercise science, bio mechanics, neuroscience, biomedical engineering, electrical or mechanical engineering, or a related discipline with a special interest in spine bio mechanics and/or neuro-muscular physiology.

Preferred Qualifications

A record of research in integrative human physiology, motor control, biomechanics.

Laboratory experience with biomechanical measurements, electromyography, motion analysis, transcranial magnetic stimulation, and/or magnetic resonance imaging, along with software experience with MATLAB, Labview, AcqKnowledge, and/or NIH Image is also preferred.
