Pool Title Adjunct Instructor of American Sign Language (Pool)
Position Summary

Applications to this pool will be utilized to fill part-time, non-tenure track, non-benefits eligible American Sign Language (ASL) instructor positions for the Division of Communication Sciences and Disorders as student demand dictates. The number of ASL courses offered each semester is largely dependent on student demand. Therefore, we often have the need for part-time instructors with very short notice. Such part-time positions will be filled utilizing qualified applicants from this pool. Applications will be accepted into the pool on an ongoing basis.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor degree or a combination of education and experience using ASL

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching ASL
SLPI: Advanced (or Advanced Plus) – Superior Plus (or equivalent)
NIC/CDI (or equivalent) = Exempt from taking the SLPI
ASLTA (minimum – Qualified/Certified level) = Exempt for taking the SLPI
